Governance representative of the entire profession
AFTES is administered by a Board of Directors elected for a renewable three-year mandate by the General Meeting of Members. All major components of the profession are represented on the Board.
The Chair and the Executive Council, elected by the Board of Directors, are responsible for day-to-day management and report regularly.
The Association’s operation is defined by its Articles of Association and Internal Regulations.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is elected by the General Meeting of Members for a term of three years. Excepting the statutory powers reserved for the General Meeting, the Board has full authority to manage, direct and administer the Association in all circumstances.
Executive Council
The Chair, elected by the Board of Directors, chooses members to sit on the Executive Council, and submits this proposal to the Board of Directors for approval. The Executive Council presents a roadmap for the coming three-year term, highlighting its main priorities for action.
Articles of Association
AFTES adopted its Articles of Association at its extraordinary general meeting in December 2017. An excerpt from the first articles is shown below; the full document is available to download in PDF format.
Internal Regulations
The internal regulations were approved by the AFTES Board of Directors in December 2018 (Art. 10 and 28 of the Articles of Association), and came into effect on 1 January 2019. The Ordinary General Meeting was duly notified. You may download the document here.
