"AFTES-accredited course” label
Acknowledging the rapid expansion of underground infrastructure, both domestically and internationally, AFTES seeks to support training and education programmes (including initial undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as specialist training) that address the field of tunnels, underground structures and underground space.
In this respect, AFTES is able to accredit courses on request (via the “AFTES-accredited course” label), provided the course content, the trainers’ expertise and the training organisation are deemed to be of acceptable quality and consistent with AFTES technical policy.
The “AFTES-accredited course” label is awarded by decision of the AFTES Executive Council, after assessment of the application by the Education Committee.
