Are you an engineer or technician working for a contractor, engineering office or contracting entity?
Do you want to improve your knowledge of tunnel construction techniques, be able to choose appropriate survey methods best for your project, learn to identify the risks associated with those techniques and implement preventive measures to protect against them?
Are you interested in enhancing your understanding of the design and justification of underground structures, mastering each stage of the rock mass characterisation process, and learning to choose and use suitable tunnel design justification methods at each phase of the project?
As we make ever greater use of underground space, ENTPE and INSA Lyon, working closely with the French Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (AFTES) and the Tunnel Studies Centre (CETU), offer two courses covering the following topics each year:
- Construction techniques for underground structures (Course A),
- Underground construction design methods and justification (Course B).
These two courses, both part of the Specialist Master’s degree in Tunnels and Underground Works offered by ENTPE and INSA Lyon, are structured as six independent modules taught in Lyon. All teaching staff are expert industry professionals.
