Lyon-Turin on the right track
11 December 2019On December 11, the 60th meeting of the Intergovernmental Conference of the Lyon-Turin railway line was held at the headquarters of the Piedmont Region in Turin.
During this meeting, Mr. Mario Virano, CEO of TELT, announced that all deadlines were fully met. On December 12, the tender documents for the three base tunnel lots in France, worth a total of 2.3 billion euros, were sent to the pre-qualified companies, which have until mid-April to submit their bids.

Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin SAS (TELT SAS) has awarded the project management for the construction of the base tunnel on the Italian side to the Italferr SPA / Setec TPI / Pini Swiss Engineers SA consortium. The contract is worth €20.6 million.
The first two lots of the Italian section were published in early July.
Italian section were published at the beginning of July: lot 1 concerns the excavation of a 9.5 km twin-tube section of the base tunnel, a cavern and preparatory works, lot 2 the management of the excavated materials. [TELT1, TELT2]
