TELT’s construction companies are committed to safety

The objectives
The companies are currently setting up to start digging the 23 km of bitube between Saint-Martin-la-Porte and Modane. On this occasion, they are committed to respecting the Code of Ethics and the Integrity and Sustainability Pact for Lyon-Turin companies. At the heart of this system, the companies have put forward the objectives of health and safety at work:
So, the prerequisite for this common commitment is that security must be a shared responsibility, a dimension in which everyone must play their part for the good of all.
The 5 commitments of the "Safety Mission" Protocol
The “Mission S” Protocol reinforces and systematizes the monitoring of safety at work on construction sites. It commits the various actors to ensure the protection of workers by using all available innovative tools and technologies according to the following basis:
- Continuous training and information for the improvement of health, safety and comfort conditions at work and for the promotion of a safety culture in the workplace;
- Shared evaluation of site performance, including data collection for performance monitoring;
- Workplace monitoring to track events such as near misses and injuries, with careful and thorough analysis of the causes of events to prevent recurrence;
- Implementation of innovative technologies and new work solutions to improve health and safety at work;
- Cooperation, if necessary, in the organization of inter-batch emergency management plans.
Safety orientation given by TELT
TELT has set itself the objective of minimizing accidents in the workplace and creating healthy and comfortable environments for all, despite the complex and difficult conditions of underground work. To this end, a dedicated function has been set up within the project management structure.
In addition, an award has been given during the calls for tenders to promote innovative solutions in terms of safety in the workplace.
In addition, TELT is participating in the Healthy Workplaces 2020-2022 campaign launched by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). In this context, the collaboration between employers, managers and workers creates a common understanding of the problem. To this end, the focus is on work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSD).
