16 May 2023The Specialised Master’s programme “Tunnels and underground structures, from design to operation” was set up in close collaboration with the French Tunnel and Underground Space Association (AFTES) and the Centre for Tunnel Studies (CETU), INSA Lyon and ENTPE. The latter two schools have been offering the programme as a co-accreditation since 2011.
Training support
In addition to the support provided by its initiators, the Specialised Master has obtained the ” International Training ” label from the International Tunnel and Underground Space Association (ITA/AITES) and has the support of the Underground Construction Professional Union (SPETSF/FNTP)
La vocation de la formation
The objective is to provide general civil engineers with specialised training that will enable them to progress rapidly to positions of responsibility, whether in companies, project management, contracting or operations,
It is aimed at holders of a generalist education at Bac+5 level (engineer, M2) in the fields of civil engineering, geotechnics, engineering geology or geosciences. It is also open to professionals with 4 years of higher education and three years of professional experience.
This 11-month course, comprising one semester of teaching (October to mid-March) and one semester of professional training (mid-March to mid-August), is 90% delivered by professionals, national and international experts in the field.
